Family counselling is a branch of psychotherapy that works with families and couples in intimate relationships to nurture change and development. It tends to view change in terms of the systems of interaction between family members. The divorce tendency starts with the inability of the parties involved to nurture the intimate and mutual relationship between them and thus, unbeneficial changes occurs which tends to expand the weakness which has been caused by the drifting apart of the partners and hence, deepens the agitation and this tears down the marriage and family completely and leads to dissolution.
So with this, the need for family counselling which helps build up the relationship, draws the parties attention to harmful development which can serve as a threat to their marriage and rebuilds the family and the helps reduce the pending divorce thereby decreases the divorce rate by so certain percentage.
